Category: Favorite art works

I came to know about these arts from a TV show which was about World records.

That show was so old that now I can’t even remember its name… lol

Any how here are some of my favorites

Willard’s miniature sculptures have become so minute that they are only visible through a microscope. Each piece commonly sits within the eye of a needle, pin head, or fish hook.

Many of Willard’s miniature sculptures sell for as much as $100,000 or more.

who can create what can only be described as ‘micro art‘.

Artist Wigan uses a tiny surgical blade to carve his microscopic figures out of rice, grains of sand, and sugar, which are then displayed on items such as pinheads, the tip of an eyelash or even a grain of sand. One of his works is a boxing ring with a Muhammad Ali figure that fits on the head of a match.

Willard Wigan specialises in sculptures that are so small they fit inside the eye of a needle! To view these sculptures you need a microscope!

What have you seen, lively crabs, smart foxes, cute pandas, and other kinds of animals? Not exactly, because what is shown here is merely one thing: lips, and of course coming with various patterns. Isn’t that incredible, our lips now can create impressive paintings too?!

Paper Sculptures

Many designers nowadays prefer to create something with paper, such as Cheong-ah Hwang and his Paper Sculpture Series. The usually soft paper seems to have regained new energy after the designer’s work and each of the sculptures tells us a fancy story with vivid and impressive images.

Banana Art

Surprises always come to us when we view common things from a different point, and quite often new types of art may be resulted at the same time. Recently when Riss, a Canada-based designer thought of the idea to draw on bananas, he has started the time of banana art. Even though we have seen paintings on apples or oranges before, these delicately-made banana paintings still deserve our praise.
